You will have to return to Mantra Headquarters, but prepare for a Boss Fight with either Raidou or Dante. Thor will become impressed that you beat him, and will impart with you Narukami Magatama as a reward. Obtain Narukami Magatama After the Battle with Thor Shortly after, you will be taken back to Ikebukuro Mall. We suggest equipping Kamudo Magatama for this fight.Īfter the battle, Thor will allow you to go see Gozu-Tennoh. You have the option to prepare for this fight, Thor will let you decide if you are ready or not. Immediately after the fight with Yaksini, you will face Thor. We suggest equipping Hifumi Magatama for this fight. You have the option to prepare for this fight, Yaksini will let you decide if you are ready or not. Immediately after the fight with Orthrus, you will face Yaksini. We suggest equipping Shiranui Magatama for this fight. You have the option to prepare for this fight, Orthrus will let you decide if you are ready or not. After doing that, the Demon Guard will permit you to get out.Īfter being let out, turn right, then left, and enter the West door.Īfter the cutscene, a boss fight will ensue. Once the party's defense has been raised, just pile physical attacks on Matador until he's defeated.Upon entering, a cutscene will play, and you will then be locked away by Thor.Įxamine both the left-side and right-side walls. The player should focus on using Rakukaja during this phase, otherwise, Matador can OHKO the party by combining Focus with Andalucia. He can now use Focus (power up his next attack), Beast Eye (grant himself additional turns), and Andalucia (a multi-hit party attack). He can now use Taunt, which will raise the party's damage, but will drastically lower their defense. Once Matador has taken enough damage, he will talk in a cutscene, signaling the start of the second phase. He will waste turns wiping debuffs and casting Mazan, which should be absorbed by the party. Spend the first phase of the battle hitting Matador with Sukunda to lower his accuracy. Matador can remove all debuffs on himself, but he cannot wipe them from the player. Concentrate on using Sukunda to lower his evasion, even if it means passing to other party members. Matador can instantly max out his accuracy/evasion with his Red Capote ability, which means that he's extremely difficult to land a blow on. Don't be afraid to use Beads and Bead Chains in this battle, as this is one of the hardest fights in the game, and the party will need all of the healing it can get. A demon with Media (the party healing spell) is also extremely useful. Make sure to bring demons that have access to Sukunda (lowers enemy accuracy) and Rakukaja (bolster party defense), as this will make things a lot easier. Hifumi can be purchased from the Manikin store in the Great Underpass of Ginza. Give the Demi-Fiend the Hifumi Magatama, as this will let him drain Force spells. A team that resists or drains Force will be extremely helpful, so use demons like Nekomata, Nozuichi, and Ame-No-Uzume. The most important thing to take into consideration with the Matador battle is to make sure that none of the party members have a weakness to Force! If they do, then the player isn't going to survive the first phase of the battle, as Matador loves to spam Mazan.
